Mocha Java is the world’s original coffee blend. Our interpretation from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf combines sweet, fruity Ethiopian Yirgacheffe with the deep body and rich flavor of Indonesia's Java Estate coffees. We expertly roast this medium roast blend to bring out notes of bittersweet chocolate. The result our Mocha Java Coffee which has long been praised by coffee aficionados around the world. This product comes in 1lb bags of whole beans.

Product Description

Profile: Floral aroma and full-bodied with bright flavor and touch of citrus. Medium roast  brings out hints of bittersweet chocolate notes.
Place: Yirgacheffe, Sidamo region, south of Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, and Jampit Blawan Estate in Java, Indonesia.
People: Mocha Java is one of the first successful coffee blends. The blend was made popular by the Dutch throughout Europe in the 18th century. The term Mocha is derived from the original name of the Yemeni port Al Mukha where the first Mocha coffees were traded.
Process: Both the Yirgacheffe and Java coffees are fully washed.
Pairing: Fresh oranges or grapefruit, pecans, lemon poppy seed muffin and cinnamon roll.

Instructions

8 oz: Makes approximately 25 cups of coffee
12 oz: Makes approximately 35-40 cups of coffee
16 oz: Makes approximately 50 cups of coffee
20 oz: Makes approximately 60-65 cups of coffee
32 oz: Makes approximately 90-100 cups of coffee
BREWING TIP: Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
GRIND only as much as you need for one cup or one pot of coffee.
CHOOSE the correct grind. Fine for espresso, medium for automatic drip, coarse for French Press.
MEASURE ground coffee to taste. Start with two level tablespoons of ground coffee per six ounces of cold filtered or bottled water.
STORE in an airtight container to protect the flavor and aroma and ensure rich, fresh tasting coffee. Do not freeze or refrigerate.
